Kylie Jenner's Grandma Thinks Commitment Issues Led To Travis Scott Breakup

Premiere Of Netflix's "Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly" - Arrivals

Did Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott split because he didn't pop the question?

Kylie's grandmother, Esther, alluded to this and revelations about the power couple during a recent phone interview with The Sun Online. For starters, the 93-year-old matriarch, who is the mother of Kylie's father Caitlyn Jenner, said her granddaughter — who has reportedly been taking a break from the rapper since October — called her the day after the news broke, assuring Esther the exes were co-parenting their 1-year-old daughter, Stormi.

“Kylie and I keep in touch, we both have iPhones and Facetime. She puts the baby on the FaceTime and I can see her progress, she’s a darling little child,” she told the outlet. “I was sympathizing with Kylie a short time ago about the breakup with the baby’s father [Travis].”

“Kylie just smoothed over it real quickly, [saying] ‘We’re both going to be good parents to her’ like in defense almost,” added Esther, who hinted Scott’s lack of commitment could have caused their breakup. “Young people today, they think they can live together, start a family together, without being married, it doesn’t work! I don’t know.”

Since her split from Scott, Kylie has reportedly been involved in a no-strings-attached romance with Drake — though an Us Weekly source revealed it "isn't anything serious."

“Drake has always had a thing for Kylie and it’s mutual,” the insider spilled last month. “They hang out here and there and have been more recently than in the past because Kylie is technically single right now and the two of them live so close to each other. … They have known each other and been friends for a very long time and there has always been a spark there, but their situation is complicated and so is Kylie’s with Travis."
