San Antonio’s own “Hot Henrietta” Hernandez is making history once again — this time as the only woman inducted into the 2025 class of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, celebrating her decades of groundbreaking work and trailblazing impact in broadcasting.
The Latina radio pioneer, known for her magnetic on-air presence and fearless personality, was honored alongside this year’s class of inductees on November 1, 2025, at the Texas Museum of Broadcasting and Communications in Kilgore, Texas — famously known as the “City of Stars.”
Hot Henrietta’s career spans decades across several major stations and formats, including her time at Tejano powerhouse KXTN 107.5 FM, as well as roles at KTFM, KITY Radio, and KISS-FM. Her voice and charisma made her a standout in an era when women — and especially Latinas — were rarely seen in top on-air positions.

“Being recognized by the Texas Radio Hall of Fame is humbling,” Henrietta shared. “This is not just about me—it’s about every young Latina who dares to believe she belongs behind the mic.”
Throughout her career, Hot Henrietta became a beacon for representation in radio, interviewing some of the biggest names in music while paving the way for future generations of diverse voices. Her influence extended beyond the studio as she used her platform to inspire and uplift others.
Today, Henrietta continues to give back to her community as a mentor for young Latina girls through Soy Latina, a nonprofit organization founded by former NFL player Marcus Coleman and his wife, Lisa Coleman. As an Hermana with the organization, she empowers girls to speak boldly, dream big, and embrace leadership roles in industries where women’s voices are still underrepresented.
Her commitment to community and culture continues through her work as Mistress of Ceremonies for major events, including those hosted by The Rey Feo Scholarship Organization, San Antonio’s Gay Pride Parade, and numerous other high-profile celebrations.
The Texas Radio Hall of Fame honors individuals whose voices and vision have shaped the state’s broadcasting legacy. For Hot Henrietta, this recognition cements her place as not only a radio legend but also a role model for women in media everywhere.
