The FDA has approved the use of the Pfizer vaccine in children aged 12-15.
The FDA commissioner Janet Woodcock said in a statement:
"Today’s action allows for a younger population to be protected from COVID-19, bringing us closer to returning to a sense of normalcy and to ending the pandemic,"
Pfizer said they hope to have the vaccine available for children before the start of next fall.
