ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas music scene is buzzing with excitement as the 15th Annual Texas Regional Radio Music Awards (TRRMA) approaches. This prestigious event, set to take place on March 23 and 24, 2025, at Texas Live! in Arlington, Texas, will honor the top artists, industry professionals, and radio stations that contribute to the vibrant Texas music landscape.
Among the top 10 nominees are Tejano music sensations Sunny Sauceda and the Jukebox Preachers featuring Art Tigerina. Sunny Sauceda has been nominated in the New Male Vocalist category, while the Jukebox Preachers have secured a spot in the New Group/Band of the Year category. This recognition highlights their significant contributions to the Tejano and Texas music scenes.
Sunny Sauceda, known for his dynamic accordion skills and charismatic performances, has been a prominent figure in Tejano music for years. Art Tigerina, a Bryan, Texas native, leads the Jukebox Preachers, a band celebrated for their unique blend of country and Tejano music.
The TRRMA, produced by the Texas Regional Radio Report, is the Texas music industry’s biggest celebration. It recognizes the top names in Texas music based on the weekly charts curated by the report. This year’s event promises to be a star-studded affair with confirmed attendees including Hudson Westbrook, Bri Bagwell, Grant Gilbert, Kylie Frey, Sundance Head, and Billie Jo Jones, among others.
The semi-final round of voting, which includes the top 10 nominees in each category, is currently underway and will run through December 28, 2024. Fans can cast their votes at TRRMA.net. The winners will be revealed at the awards show on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Texas Live! The event will also feature the Future Faces show on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the PBR Bar, showcasing emerging talent, followed by a performance by Love & Chaos.
