San Antonio, TX — The Bean and Chisme Show has found a powerful new partner for its fifth season in Credit Human, a San Antonio-based Federal Credit Union. This strategic partnership aims to expand the show’s reach within the Hispanic community across South Texas, blending entertainment with essential financial education to empower viewers.
The new season of The Bean and Chisme Show will be filmed at Credit Human’s cutting-edge 12-story headquarters located at 1703 Broadway Street near the Pearl. The state-of-the-art facility is a beacon of sustainable design, boasting impressive energy and water efficiency features that set a new standard for environmentally conscious construction. The building is 96% more efficient than others of comparable size, thanks to advanced systems such as:
- A 56% reduction in energy demand through advanced power management and an airtight exterior.
- 150 geothermal wells that regulate temperature using the earth’s natural heat and 3,000 solar panels supplying approximately 40% of the building’s annual electricity needs.
- A water conservation system that allows the building to use 97% less water than similar-sized buildings, with an annual water consumption comparable to that of a typical family of four.
The Bean and Chisme Show, hosted by the dynamic Samantha Najera, has become a cultural staple by highlighting Tex-Mex life through comedy sketches, music, and unfiltered conversations. Najera expressed her excitement about the new partnership, emphasizing the importance of addressing financial literacy within the Hispanic community.
“To be able to host the show in my hometown and in one of the most beautiful buildings is such an honor,” said Najera. “For years, I have been looking for a partner to also educate our beloved raza on financial literacy and give us access to the ‘know-how’s’ of investing and becoming financially healthy. Breaking generational curses of poverty is one of our top priorities, and this partnership helps us tackle just that.”
Credit Human’s mission to promote financial well-being aligns perfectly with the show’s goal of empowering the community through knowledge and laughter. Magdalena Ortega of Credit Human underscored the importance of reducing the stigma around financial education.
“We’re hoping to remove the stigma of finances. There is nothing wrong with learning about your finances and taking control of them. There’s no catch. We live our mission to help people build financial slack and create communities free of financial stress,” Ortega stated.
The collaboration marks a new chapter for The Bean and Chisme Show, combining entertainment with practical financial advice to help viewers make informed decisions and build a stronger financial future.
The fifth season will premiere live on Facebook and YouTube on Thursday, March 20, 2025. For more information, visit beanandchisme.net.
