ARLINGTON, TX — Sunny Sauceda had a momentous presence at the 15th annual Texas Regional Radio Music Awards on Monday, March 24, 2025, held at Texas Live! in Arlington, Texas. As one of the standout stars of the night, Sauceda performed his hit single “Hot Sauce” and was nominated for two prestigious awards—New Male Artist of the Year and New Vocal Duo/Event of the Year with Jenny Dale Lord.

Reflecting on his journey, Sauceda spoke with Tejano Nation about his experience at the event, saying, “It’s amazing. I remember when I first came two years ago to the 13th annual, and I walked in with people I had just met, and nobody knew me. Now, two years later, I’m performing as a solo artist, and we’re playing ‘Hot Sauce’ with the T3R All-Star Band. It feels incredible.”

The three-time GRAMMY winner made his official Texas Country debut with Womanizer” about a year ago, and since then, his music has taken off with the releases of “Hot Sauce” and “Together Forever.” Sauceda is currently on his Tacos & Whiskey Tour 2025 and is already looking ahead to more Texas country music, with collaborations potentially in the works with renowned singer-songwriter Jamie Richards.

His rapid rise in the Texas Country scene is something Sauceda continues to reflect on with gratitude. “To be nominated this quickly is such a big deal. I don’t need to be number one, I just want to be relevant, and that’s my approach. I’m just thankful to be part of all this,” he said.

The artist is signed with Azteca Ranch Music, a label that has quickly carved a name for itself in the Texas Country genre since its inception a year ago, led by Carlos Alvarez and others. Sauceda credits the label and everyone who has supported him along the way, saying, “I have to give credit where credit is due, from the producers to the songwriters, everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. It’s just such a blessing.”

As Sunny Sauceda continues to rise in the Texas Country world, his performance at the T3R Music Awards was just another highlight in an already successful year, with even more milestones to come. The recognition and excitement around him are proof that he is more than just a rising star—he’s here to stay.
