Tejano superstar Bobby Pulido continues his emotional farewell with the release of “Le Pediré,” a powerful live duet with regional Mexican icon Alicia Villarreal. The single marks the third release from Pulido’s highly-anticipated double live album, Bobby Pulido & Friends – Una Tuya y Una Mía, and captures a poignant moment in what is set to be the final major musical chapter of his legendary career.
Recorded live in December 2024 at the Auditorio Cumbres in Monterrey, Mexico, the performance was part of a special five-night concert series celebrating Pulido’s 30-year legacy in Tejano music. Backed by a roaring crowd and a career-spanning setlist, Pulido and Villarreal blend their signature styles in “Le Pediré,” breathing new life into the heartfelt ballad with striking vocal chemistry and raw emotion.

A Unique Concept Brought to Life on Stage
The duet with Villarreal is the latest installment in Pulido’s unique album concept, which delivers on its title: Una Tuya y Una Mía (“One of Yours and One of Mine”). Each live collaboration pairs one of Pulido’s beloved hits with a signature song from a guest artist’s catalog.
“It was all live,” Pulido explained during a recent appearance on the Bean & Chisme podcast. “The concept is Bobby and friends—una tuya y una mía. So I would sing one of their songs with them, and they sing one of my songs with me.”
Released through Fonovisa/Universal, Volume One of the double album features 14 tracks, with two songs being released weekly from April 22 through May 30. Volume Two, which includes 16 tracks, will follow with weekly releases from June 17 through August 7.
Star-Studded Sendoff to a Tejano Trailblazer
The album is a who’s who of Latin music, including collaborations with Jennifer Peña, David Olivarez, Majo Aguilar, Luis Padilla of Grupo La Firma, and David Bisbal. Just last week, Pulido dropped two fiery duets with Bisbal: a new take on his breakout hit “Desvelado” and a stirring rendition of Bisbal’s hit “Dígale.”
Each performance was recorded during the Monterrey concert series, with three guest artists joining Pulido each night. The result is a dynamic collection of performances that bridge generations and genres, honoring both Pulido’s legacy and the evolution of regional Mexican music.
The Final Curtain… and What Comes Next
Pulido, a Latin Grammy winner and one of the early pioneers of Tejano-pop fusion, first rose to fame with his 1995 debut Desvelado, an album that earned Gold certification and cemented him as a crossover heartthrob across the U.S. and Mexico. With chart-toppers like “Enséñame,” “Ojalá Te Animes,” and “Se Murió de Amor,” he became a household name and a symbol of modern Tejano music’s global reach.
Now on his final tour, Por La Puerta Grande, Pulido is bidding farewell to the stage with performances through the end of 2025. But fans haven’t heard the last of him—he’s currently working on a final studio album slated for release in 2026.
Beyond music, Pulido is setting his sights on a new kind of public stage. The singer has announced his intention to enter public service, with plans to run for office in Texas following his retirement from performing.
An Enduring Legacy, One Duet at a Time
With “Le Pediré” and the rest of Bobby Pulido & Friends – Una Tuya y Una Mía, Pulido offers more than a goodbye—he delivers a celebration of friendship, legacy, and the power of collaboration in Latin music. As fans count down the final chapters of his live career, this album ensures Bobby Pulido’s voice will echo for generations to come.
