La Fiebre, one of Tejano music’s most iconic bands, returns in full force with Ayúdame, their first new single in nearly three years and the lead track from their highly anticipated upcoming album celebrating an impressive 40-year career. The release marks a major milestone for the group affectionately known as “The Pride of Pasadena,” as they honor their legacy while venturing into fresh musical territory.

Ayúdame, produced in collaboration with Freddie Records, is a high-energy ranchera fused with La Fiebre’s signature Tejano-Rock blend. The song was written by Three Rivers, Texas native Isaac Rodriguez and recorded at the renowned Legends Sound Studios in Corpus Christi. Production was helmed by the celebrated Freddie Records engineer Mariano “Nano” Herrera, with executive production by The Martinez Brothers — Freddie Martinez, Jr., John Martinez, and Marc Martinez.

Musically, Ayúdame delivers everything fans have come to expect and more. The track bursts with bold horn arrangements by co-founder Luis Ayala and longtime member Jonas FloresRudy Rocha (guitar) and Joe Angel Reynosa (bass) anchor the song’s driving rhythm section, while Julian Gonzalez spices things up with fiery accordion fills. Lead vocalist Angel Cantu shines with a passionate, soaring performance, and guest drummer Joey Jimenez adds the final polish with a tight, energetic backbeat.

The track made its official radio debut this week after a teaser was recently released and will be available across all digital music platforms on Friday, May 16. Fans can catch the lyric video on YouTube at FreddieRecordsTV on Thursday, May 15, and an official music video is expected later in the month.

Speaking with Tejano Nation Radio, the band teased details of the upcoming anniversary album. “We have some new things,” the group shared. “We try to give you the traditional Fiebre, but also introduce some of the new ideas we’ve come out with. I know that Fiebre is known for a certain sound, but we’re always experimenting. There’s some new type of music that Fiebre may not be known for, but we’re going to give it a shot and see how the fans like it. It’s fun music.”

As they gear up to celebrate four decades in music, La Fiebre continues to do what they’ve always done best — honor their roots while pushing the boundaries of their sound. With Ayúdame, they not only mark the start of a new chapter but reaffirm their place at the forefront of Tejano music.
