Visit Tucson Launches Summer Savings Pass

Visit Tucson has launched their Summer Streetcar Savings Pass, encouraging business along the free-to-ride streetcar line during traditionally slow summer months.

Users can sign up for a free digital savings pass that includes special deals like receiving up to 25% off select items, free beverages, or buy-one, get-one deals at participating businesses in the four entertainment districts. More than 50 businesses are included in the savings pass, spread throughout the Main Gate Square, Historic Fourth Avenue, Downtown, and Mercado districts.

“As a college town, things tend to slow down in the summer, especially with the warmer temperatures. It’s an important time to support local businesses,” Felip Garcia, Visit Tucson President and CEO said. “Collaborating with the amazing businesses along this line was a no-brainer. Plus, the streetcar is free to ride and air-conditioned. It’s the most convenient way to access the four entertainment districts.”

According to Garcia, Visit Tucson’s goal is to give locals and visitors a new reason to get out and explore Tucson this summer. “You could think of it as a summer bucket list,” said Garcia.

The Summer Streetcar pass will function similarly to Visit Tucson’s America’s Best Mexican Food Field Guide, providing a digital collection of savings which they can show at to receive deals and discounts at participating restaurants, museums, clothing and gift shops, salons and barbers, music stores, yoga studios, bars, and more.
