Bobby Pulido continues to celebrate three decades of Tejano excellence with the release of “A Tu Lado,” a powerful duet with rising Mexican singer-songwriter Majo Aguilar. The track, originally a 2001 hit from the Latin Grammy winner, is the latest release from his upcoming live duets album Bobby Pulido & Friends – Una Tuya y Una Mía, capturing a special moment recorded live in December 2024 at the Auditorio Cumbres in Monterrey, Mexico.

A Legacy Reimagined with the Next Generation

Pulido’s collaboration with Majo Aguilar is a cross-generational tribute to musical heritage. Aguilar, daughter of singer and actor Antonio Aguilar Jr. and granddaughter of legendary performers Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre, represents a new wave of Mexican artistry. Her soulful vocals bring fresh emotion to “A Tu Lado,” blending seamlessly with Pulido’s signature Tejano sound in a heartfelt rendition that honors both their families’ legacies.

A Duets Album Like No Other

Una Tuya y Una Mía is no ordinary live album. Spanning five unforgettable nights in Monterrey, Pulido invited Latin music stars to join him in a unique concept: one of theirs, one of his. “It was all live,” Pulido told the Bean & Chisme podcast. “The concept is Bobby and friends—una tuya y una mía. So I would sing one of their songs with them, and they sing one of my songs with me.”

The result is an emotionally rich and genre-blending project that showcases Pulido’s versatility and respect for his peers. Already released duets include performances with international Spanish pop star David Bisbal, Mexican powerhouse Alicia Villarreal, Mexican grupero band Bronco, and a moving moment alongside his father and Tejano pioneer, Roberto Pulido.

Celebrating 30 Years of Music with a Farewell Tour

The album is part of a larger celebration as Pulido embarks on his farewell tour, Por La Puerta Grande, marking 30 years in the industry. Volume One of Una Tuya y Una Mía, released by Fonovisa/Universal, includes 14 tracks unveiled in pairs weekly through May 30. Volume Two will follow on June 17 with 16 more collaborations, including appearances by Jennifer PeñaDavid OlivarezLuis Padilla of Grupo La Firma, and more.

Looking Ahead: A New Chapter Begins

As Pulido prepares to take his final bow with Por La Puerta Grande Tour, fans are treated to a mix of nostalgia and fresh collaborations that reflect the full spectrum of his career. From classics like “Desvelado” and “Enséñame” to innovative live duets, Pulido continues to honor his past while looking forward.

The Tejano star has also announced that he will release one final studio album in 2026 before retiring from music.
