MIAMI, FL — Global urban hitmaker Ryan Castro, one of Latin music’s most in-demand artists, continues his unstoppable rise with the release of “Apodo”, a bold norteño-reggae collaboration with Latin GRAMMY-winning música Mexicana pioneers Grupo Frontera.
The track builds on the Caribbean-inspired sound of Castro’s critically acclaimed album SENDÉ, shaped by the rhythms and influences he absorbed during his formative years living in Curaçao. Fusing the warmth of norteño instrumentation with laid-back reggae grooves, “Apodo” delivers a refreshing cultural blend that pushes genre boundaries.
The music video, filmed in McAllen, Texas, visually mirrors the song’s fusion of styles. Set against a coastal backdrop, the clip captures an intimate and organic energy, weaving together the distinct flavors of both artists’ worlds.
