Forever Jimmy G Music Fest Honors Legacy of Tejano Icon with Celebration

LOS FRESNOS, TX — The Forever Jimmy G Music Fest brought together fans, family, and music lovers on Saturday, September 6, 2025, for a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Jimmy Gonzalez, multiple Grammy Award-winning Tejano icon and beloved co-founder of Mazz. Held at the Los Fresnos Rodeo Grounds, the event honored Jimmy’s enduring legacy through music, culture, and community spirit.

The day featured a powerful lineup of performers, including Mike Gonzalez and The Iconiczz with a moving Jimmy Gonzalez tribute, along with The Delta Boyz, Rustic Rose, La Lexxion, Horizonte Norteño, Alicat Crash, and a special guest appearance by Margarita. Beloved entertainer Rock-N-Roll James served as Master of Ceremonies, keeping the energy high and the crowd engaged throughout the festival.

Organizers expressed their gratitude to the fans and supporters who made the event possible, stating: “THANK YOU to the die-hard Jimmy G fans who traveled from across the nation, and to everyone who helped make this inaugural event a humble success. The Jimmy G Museum gave us memories to treasure forever, and we’re already planning the next charitable event happening very soon. Jimmy G Forever in our hearts!”

The music fest proudly supports the Forever Jimmy G Maz Muzica Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting live music, nurturing rising talent, and ensuring Jimmy’s story continues to inspire generations. Gonzalez, born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, rose from humble beginnings to become one of Tejano’s most celebrated musicians. As lead guitarist and co-founder of Mazz, he redefined the genre with his innovative sound, earning seven Grammy Awards and countless Tejano Music Awards along the way.

Jimmy’s dedication, artistry, and passion left an indelible mark on the music world, and the Forever Jimmy G Music Fest is a living reminder of his profound influence.
