The wait is almost over—Art Tigerina Band is back with brand-new music! The group dropped a teaser of their latest single, “Los Deseos De Mi Corazon,” which officially hit Tejano radio today (Sept. 12) and will be available on all digital platforms starting September 26.
Written by Francisco Villarreal and Rene De La Cerda and recorded, mixed, and mastered by Eddie Perez, the heartfelt track promises to showcase Tigerina’s signature soulful vocals that have made him one of Tejano’s most dynamic performers. Fans are encouraged to add the song to their playlists and get ready for another hit from the Bryan-College Station native.
Art Tigerina’s career spans more than 30 years, with roots in his family’s musical traditions and his early beginnings singing with his brother Robert Tigerina’s band, Tierra Mala. He went on to form Algo Suave, before moving to San Antonio in the early ’90s, where he performed with bands like La Venganza and CityView. With CityView, he recorded the hit “Vueltas y Vueltas,” later re-recorded with Grupo Vida to even greater success.
In 1997, Tigerina became the lead singer of Grupo Vida, where he spent 17 years as their energetic frontman. Together, they released 10 albums, earned two Grammy nominations, and even toured with the Dixie Chicks, bringing Tejano music to audiences nationwide.
Since launching the Art Tigerina Band in 2015, Tigerina has continued to prove why he’s considered the “showman” of Tejano. His debut solo album, De Mi No Te Olvidarás, arrived in 2017, and in 2018, he was named Male Vocalist of the Year at the Tejano Music Awards. He was inducted into the Tejano ROOTS Hall of Fame in 2019.
Now, with “Los Deseos De Mi Corazon,” Art Tigerina Band kicks off a new era of music, reminding fans why his voice and showmanship have stood the test of time.
