Alright, so who's the new girl on the block?
My name is Celina Yvette Martinez, a proud latina with a big personality. At 18 years old I left my small town of San Luis, AZ to pursue an education at the University of Arizona. I packed my bags (literally 1 suitcase and a bag full of chips lol) and made my way to the Dirty T! I arrived with just $20 in my bank account, no job, no friends, in a city I had only been to once before. Little did I know, it would be the greatest decision I ever made. A communication degree, 2 minors, many life lessons, tears and laughter, great friends, a loving partner, my dog Pablo and 6 years later, I landed a job with iHeartMedia and worked my way up to my DREAM JOB as an On-Air Personality.
Going to college was one of the most challenging things I have ever done and I take so much pride in being a first-generation college student. I always look back and feel so proud of my little self for making the scariest decision of my life and working hard to achieve my goals.
I currently host late nights on the Regional Mexican station El Patron, mornings on Tejano 1600 and middays on 93.7 KRQ. I am blessed and extremely grateful for every opportunity that has come my way. There is WAY more to me. I have so much to talk about, so many stories... but this should do for now.
