New York Gov. Cuomo Asks State Lawmakers To Adopt False Accusation Bill

Do you remember the infamous video of Amy Cooper calling the cops on a black man after he asked her to leash her dog? If not, watch the video below:

This has happened countless times, with many people capturing these false accusations on video and it looks like New York Governor Andrew Cuomo wants to do something about it.

"Cuomo wants state lawmakers to authorize a bill that will make it a hate crime to call 911 and cite a false accusation due to race, gender, or religion, the reports. This isn’t the first time this legislation has been introduced; Assembly man Felix Ortiz (D-Brooklyn) initially proposed the bill in 2018.
“We’ve seen 911 calls which are race-based, false calls. A false 911 call based on race should be classified as a hate crime in the state of New York,” said Cuomo.
