Hello there!
So I totally thought this week would be a breeze! I was really excited to get my Tumamoc walks in this week, then reality hit, it's moving week!
I moved into my new home on Monday and have been trying to settle in every second of the day. I hadn't realized I had so much stuff. Lots to donate, lots to throw away and still lots to figure out what I will be doing with.
All this to say, I AM EXHAUSTED. My arms feel like spaghetti, my legs are so sore from lifting beds, furniture, boxes and everything in between. My bank account is sad and lonely after paying deposits, new appliances, cleaning supplies, groceries, you know the deal.
BUT... I still made it to Tumamoc yesterday! After a long day of moving..... for some reason Tumamoc was the only thing on my mind at the end of the day and I am so happy I went!
Yesterday's Tumamoc Thoughts really helped me in so many ways, even though I wasn't thinking about much. I wasn't thinking about the long day I had, I wasn't thinking about the long days ahead, I wasn't thinking about my sad and lonely bank account.
I thought about the bugs I could hear in the bushes. I thought about the sun going to sleep earlier than usual. I thought about my feet in my shoes that were aching. I thought about the weight of my hydro flask in my hand. I thought about the beautiful nature that surrounded me. I thought about how blessed I am to simply be walking up that mountain.
My mind was full of positivity yesterday as I struggled to catch my breath and I am forever thankful. It took me 10 minutes longer than usual to finish my hike, but it was worth it.
The only sad part is that I didn't get to take any pictures! I left my phone in my car, forgetting all about wanting to document my experience.... won't happen again!
