Last week, a bee attack claimed the life of 29 year old David Santiago while trying to help a juvenile get to safety and severely injured 3 residents and 3 firefighters. One firefighter was transported to the hospital for treatment of 60 bee stings.
A 100lb bee hive was found in a tree and beekeepers were able to kill most of them.
