Andres Salgado, the 29-year-old son of legendary singer Michael Salgado, has shared an emotional update with fans weeks after surviving a serious motorcycle accident in San Antonio. The singer took to Instagram to post a heartfelt video reflecting on the life-changing incident and expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support he has received.

In the caption of his post, Salgado opened up about the crash, writing:

“The week of Thanksgiving, my life changed in an instant. I was involved in a motorcycle accident in San Antonio after being struck by a vehicle. What could’ve ended very differently became a moment of reflection, growth, and gratitude.”

Salgado shared that his faith has been central in his recovery:

“First and foremost, I want to thank God for protecting me, for giving me another day, and for walking with me through every step of this journey. I’m on a long road to recovery, but I trust the process and pray to be back at 100% in this coming year.”

He also thanked the many fans, friends, and loved ones who stood by him during the difficult weeks following the accident.

“I also want to thank everyone who showed up—those who came to visit, reached out, called, messaged, and prayed for my healing. Every prayer, every word, and every bit of love meant more to me than you know.”

Salgado added that the experience has reshaped his outlook on life:

“This experience reminded me how fragile life is and how powerful faith and community truly are. I’m focused on healing, moving forward with purpose, and not taking a single moment for granted. Stay tuned—more music is on the way soon.”

The singer echoed the same message in the video itself, speaking directly to fans with deep emotion and hope.

Born into one of Tejano music’s most celebrated families, Andres Salgado first made his debut with the 2016 single “Hola.” Most recently, he released “Hay Ojos” in October 2024, continuing to develop his own unique musical path while honoring the legacy of his father.
