Tejano superstar Elida Reyna has revealed the first of four special guest artists set to join her for her final-ever performance on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the historic Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, Texas. Just days after announcing that multiple artists would help make her farewell concert unforgettable, Reyna shared on social media that her longtime friend and collaborator Michael Salgado will be the first special guest to take the stage.

“We are thrilled and humbled to have our dear friend Michael Salgado as one of our guest artists on December 12th,” Elida Y Avante posted. “We collaborated on a ‘big hit’ years ago and look forward to sharing it with you that night at the Majestic Theatre.”

Elida Reyna and Michael Salgado’s musical history spans years of powerful duets and successful collaborations. Among their fan-favorite hits are “Quedemos Como Amigos” and “Amor O Costumbre.” In 2015, the pair released a full mariachi album together, El Hombre Y La Dama – Por El Amor Al Mariachi, showcasing their artistic chemistry and deep love for traditional Mexican music.

Earlier this week, Elida shared that she would be inviting four iconic artists to join her for her final show. “Every week up until the show, up until the date, we will be announcing a different artist,” she said, promising fans a series of exciting reveals leading up to the big night.

As the most decorated artist in Tejano Music Awards history—with an unprecedented 42 awards—Reyna’s farewell performance at the Majestic Theatre will be more than just a concert. It will be a full-circle moment.

In an exclusive comment to Tejano Nation, Elida opened up about why this venue holds such deep personal significance.

“I chose San Antonio because it is here that I stepped into the spotlight back in 1994 at the Tejano Music Awards for the very first time, and it is here, at the iconic Majestic Theatre, that I will take the stage one last time,” she said. “This is proof that if you have tireless work ethic, the will to never give up and, most importantly, the ‘songs’ to carry a career, you can live out a childhood dream and perform on a stage you thought you could never reach. As I step away, I hope my songs continue to inspire and motivate future generations. As I close this chapter, we’d love to see our ‘EYA’ fans one last time Friday, December 12th for an unforgettable night.”

Elida Reyna first captured the heart of the Tejano world in 1994, performing her now-iconic hit “Luna Llena” before a crowd of 50,000 at the Tejano Music Awards. That landmark performance launched a legendary career filled with timeless hits like “Duele” and “Te Sigo Amando.” For three decades, Reyna’s voice, passion, and artistry have helped define the sound of Tejano music.
