Miguel Hernandez, the seasoned Tejano singer, songwriter, and bandleader behind Agresivo, is setting the stage for what he calls his “best year yet.” After more than three decades in the industry—backing icons like Stephanie LynnJay Perez, and others—Hernandez is ready to elevate his signature sound with a packed slate of releases and major milestones leading into 2026.

Hernandez and Agresivo are currently in the studio crafting a brand-new full-length album, injecting fresh energy and showcasing the group’s writing, musical, and stage abilities. Fans won’t have to wait long for new music, as the band’s next single is scheduled to drop January 1, kicking off a year rich with creativity and momentum. “Excited for what the new year has in store,” Hernandez shared as he teased the upcoming projects.

The excitement continues with the announcement of Anthology, Vol. 1, arriving in March. The project takes listeners back to Hernandez’s roots, presenting re-recorded versions of his most beloved early songs, originally created during his time in Detroit and the Midwest before relocating to Texas in 1994. The collection reflects both growth and gratitude.

“These were songs that I created back when I was living in Detroit before I made the move to Texas in 1994,” Hernandez said. “It’s something special, bringing it all back after all these years.

Revisiting these early tracks—some dating back to his first band, Pasión—gives longtime fans a fresh take while allowing new listeners to experience the foundation of Hernandez’s artistry. The anthology also arrives on the heels of recent fan-favorite hits, including “Tiki Taka Toco” and the bilingual summer anthem “Cumbia Sensual” featuring Jai Sterling, both of which added strong momentum to Hernandez’s recent musical stride.

The honor celebrates his contributions, resilience, and commitment to elevating Tejano music across generations.

With new music on the way, an anthology celebrating his legacy, and a full album slated for mid-2026, Miguel Hernandez y Agresivo are primed to deliver their most impactful era yet—rooted in history, powered by experience, and driven by the unmistakable passion that has shaped Hernandez’s career from Detroit to Texas and beyond.
