Rev Ray is turning up the heat with the official music video premiere of “Cumbia de Calle,” his newest single mixing cumbia, reggaetón, and urban Latin rhythms into an irresistible, groove-heavy track that reflects life, love, music, and Mexican-American culture. Proudly representing El Paso, Texas, Rev Ray — widely known as Hijo de la tierra del sol” — continues carving his own lane in Latin music with another bold, heartfelt release.

Produced by Tejano icon Shelly Lares, CEO of Shellshock Records 3, “Cumbia de Calle” delivers Rev Ray’s signature fusion of urban cumbias, reggae, R&B, and soul. The track marks his first single since his 2024 debut album, Ritmos y Raíces, which introduced his boundary-pushing sound to a growing global audience.

For Rev Ray, this new release is far more than just a catchy cumbia — it’s a purpose, a message, and a movement.

“This ain’t just a song — it’s a whole movement,” he said. “Straight from El Paso mi Chuco to the streets of San Anto, reppin’ that Chicano soul, barrio love, and real raza energy. Every frame, every lyric, every moment in this video tells our story.”

The music video, rich in imagery and culture, also showcases vibrant lowrider culture. It was shot and edited by MRSTATICTV210 and directed by Shelly Lares, bringing Rev Ray’s vision to life through gritty, stylish visuals.

Rev Ray expressed deep gratitude for the team that helped shape the project.

“Big love and respect to my mentor and friend Shelly Lares. Mad shoutout to Shellshock Records 3 for ridin’ with me on this vision, and Mr. Static TV 210 for the dope ass visuals that brought this Cumbia to life,” he shared. “We do this for the cultura, for the calle, and for the ones who never stopped believing.”

With “Cumbia de Calle,” Rev Ray reinforces that his music is more than sound — it’s soul, community, identity, and cultural pride, wrapped in a beat built for the streets.
